If you're Jewish, how has October 7 impacted your outlook?

Not even every Israeli Jew supports the war or the occupation, so blaming every American Jew for them because we’re all eligible for Israeli citizenship if we move there is a little extreme. Were the atrocities in Abu Ghraib the fault of every American citizen and also everyone who could possibly get citizenship here? |

Please don’t! This day is the somber anniversary of the brutal murder, kidnapping and rape of over a thousand people in Israel, perpetrated by barbaric Hamas terrorists. The largest massacre of Jews in a single day since the Holocaust. |

Now that it’s 10/8, can we return to lamenting the relentless, brutal murders, kidnappings, and rapes that Israel has inflicted on the indigenous Palestinian people just about every day for the past 76 years? We were cognizant of recognizing your one day when you experienced what the Palestinians have experienced daily since the founding mothers and fathers of Israel immigrated to the ME from Eastern Europe (they did, it’s true, please don’t dispute facts … Lavon, Ben Gurion, Eshkol, Allon’s parents, Meir and on and on to Netanyahu’s parents in the present day), so now the least you can do is solemnly STFU about Hamas and Hezbollah and all of the enemies that Israel has created through its own policies and actions, and instead reflect on how you, as a radical, extremist Zionist, are detracting from world peace every day through your support of Israel. Please don’t make this about you, just for every day other than 10/7! Thank you in advance for your cooperation! |

If you're Jewish and think over 75 years of Israeli occupation is about your RELIGION and that Palestinians would be totally cool with you being Mormon and showing up to steal, rape, torture and dehumanize, starting with Mormon terrorist groups from Europe blowing up hotels and driving people our of their towns/villages, then maybe reassess your life.
Using your Judaism to both defend what Israel does and get offended when someone points out that you're doing it, is an even bigger problem. How do you get all emotional and then also get offended if it's conflated when you yourself conflate the two? You shouldn't be conflating your religion with an horrific occupation. It does a disservice to Judaism itself. Funny how we Palestinians never get asked how 1920s-Oct 6, 2023 impacted us, or about our "right to exist" or "right to defend ourselves" Instead, we get ignorant, know-nothings telling us we don't exist and we reject like these totally awesome peace plans (sans the details). We're nefarious, one-dimensional caricatures with no loved ones, no connection to a land, no identity. No other people are subjected to this level of accepted degradation and dehumanization. It's the curse of being up against very powerful people who get to be portrayed as the victims. If you're upset, it's because you're not accustomed to Israel being exposed for what it has always been. No matter what you tell yourself, it was EUROPE that went after Jews for being *Jewish* not Palestinians. Arab Jews have been a part of the ME forever and no amount of revisionism is going to change the fact that millions of Jews were massacred for being Jews in EUROPE and those Jews were *European* Palestine was invaded by Zionist Jews who wanted to take it all. They were welcomed to Palestine. Stop lying to yourself about what this is actually about. You live in the west and apply the negative view of Jews by westerners through, to Palestinians. You're too ignorant and provincial to make the distinction. We Palestinians do not hate people for being Jewish, no matter what some provincial twit sitting in DC tells you. I take countless Jews over the garbage gulf state Muslims any day of the week. It was NEVER about your religion, yet you get to hate me just for existing. You get to claim a scarf my own great-grandfathers wore and is older than that ethnostate, is a "terrorist" scarf. You've been endlessly coddled while hundreds of thousands of my people have been massacred by a Polish invader and the US govt smirks. |
