Omg. So not true. I also just stopped a son off at college and this was not the case—-maybe because it was an elite school— but the moms, self included, were all in better shape or save shape—- Pilates, weights, hot yoga, boot camp, running.

At my 30th HS reunion I could recognize any of the men—fat, bald, old— but my girlfriends all looked the same. A few old make HS friends were offended when I didn’t recognize them.

There is a very small percentage of men who attract a small percentage of women because they offer financial security to women who don’t want to work and view their own success depends on which man they can land rather than what they themselves can accomplish.

And that’s fine. It works for them (sometimes….they also have a very high divorce rate). But the average 50 year old man will not be able to get a 25 year old to marry him.
