Only democrats are allowed to be elected president. Otherwise democracy will die in darkness.
Maga is not Republican. I'd be ok with any of the candidates the GOP has floated before. But now serious politicians like Romney, Bush are too whatever for magas. The magas are a fascist cult of personality. It's depressing, I agree with OP.

Bush was Hitler, now Trump is Hitler. Republicans are all Hitlers.

This exactly. Some of you may be too young to realize that this is a pattern. Bush was a moron and Trump is a racist or facist. Romney was called a racist and also derided by Obama for considering that Russia was still a threat. Every single Republican is characterized by their opponent and the water carrying media and Hollywood as somehow fatally flawed. So those of use who pay attention and are old enough to see the pattern immediately ignore all the hyperbole leveled at EVERY single Republican. We know. We are all racists and all hate women and we all carry guns and sleep with our siblings and live in trailers. Yeah yeah. We get it. Meanwhile, I’m a middle aged women who is a lawyer, has had an abortion, comes from a family or educated people none of whom own guns or trailers and I will vote for Trump. He is a better choice for the economy and for the future of our country geopolitically. For those of us who aren’t lemmings and aren’t afraid to be called names, it’s really an easy call. Kamala is a thinly veiled communist.

Same here. Middle aged suburban mom who is a regular poster. Frequently called a troll, Boris, etc whenever I express conservative opinions.

Some of the people here have never left their insulated bubble. I’ve voted for both Dems and Republicans. I don’t agree with everything Trump says, but I support vast majority of his policies.

You want millions of people to be rounded up and put into camps or deported? It's about 5% of the work force - who will do those jobs?
You want an across-the-board tariff on all imports, which will cause prices to go up and start a trade war which will hurt American exporting companies?
You want tens of thousands of civil servants to be fired and replaced by unqualified, inexperienced Trump loyalists?
You want Trump to order the DOJ to investigate, arrest and prosecute his enemies? While at the same time ordering them to drop the cases against himself, amd pardoning all those who participated in January 6, including the Proud Boys who were convicted of insurrection.

I’m fine with all those policies. Especially the first.

Suburban parent, and I agree with you as well. A Trump administration will have much better policies for my family and for the country.

Flooding the US with Venezuelan criminals gangs (and other opportunists) was a huge mistake by Harris and biden. But Harris is not doing anything about it now, and she has no plan. We can only assume she will give us 4 more years of the disastrous past 3.5 years of an open southern border.

I am voting for a Trump administration.

What makes you think they are all uneducated? I know a woman who is a Ph. D. In Economics from Harvard who has voted for him three times and will again in 2024! She is not an anomaly.

Thinking through my Trump voting friends, they are all college educated and almost all have law degrees or MBAs.

Seriously? How do they justify voting for someone who is so obviously an inarticulate, stupid misogynist? I really don’t understand it. I do not know a single Trump supporter and can’t fathom how anyone can support him.

My daughter will not vote for Harris because of the economy - she cannot believe how prices have skyrocketed since Biden got into office and why the heck she and her husband cannot afford a home in the DC area despite making over 200K and having over 100K down payment. The interest rate, home taxes and subsequent escrow take the monthly payments out of their reach. They are willing to take a hefty commute, but during Covid, all the DCers and close in had to have their 'country' homes out in Leesburg and west, driving the prices sky high. A year ago, the idea of moving seems unfathomable to both of them. Now they both want out. In addition, they have started digging into their own news sources and are surprised at how exaggerated the claims about Trump were. The last straw was the offering of all the goodies to the "newcomers" the Biden/Harris administration brought in, leaving poor Americans drowning. The farther she gets from her college years, the more practical she's becoming.

If she's planning on having children, I hope she doesn't choose to move to a state that would put her life at risk should she experience a pregnancy complication.

His old is your daughter?

Prices went up because of Covid and supply chain issues. Gas prices are up. Gas is $8/gallon in Europe.

Prices have gone up all over the world. Prices are up in UK, Ireland, France, Portugal. There is inflation worldwide!!!! Are they blaming Biden? No! She needs a better under of economics and the global economy. Voting for Trump is not the solution.

Has she been outside of the USA?

Yes she has. And she’s researched all that and hasn’t come to the same conclusions you have. She sees it as democratic policy making

Being well-traveled has clearly not helped your daughter with her innate stupidity and complete lack of understand of how economies work.

Seriously, how do some of you function?

DP. Wow. Not the most convincing way to conclude an argument.

So you want an authoritarian dictatorship? Because that's what you're supporting.
And please don't complain when your fellow Americans use their Constitutional rights to protest against this. Or when our economy collapses from the combination of civil unrest, inflation and shortages of goods from the tariffs and mass deportations, and governmental incompetence.
And you think we're on the brink of WW3 now? Just wait til Trump lets Putin have Ukraine, and China takes the hint and goes into Taiwan.

Hope your kids aren't draft age.

This, exactly.

You guys seriously live in la-la upside down land. You just project all your hyperbolic delusions onto the democrats. Projection projection projection. We see right through you.

Speaking of seeing right through you...

At some point, Democrats inexplicably started to get away with taking credit for being the party of Science and Human Rights. None of the Democrats were smart enough to see through the fact that this was happening, even though neither of those concepts are inherently tied to one party or the other. Yet nobody is willing to argue against science or human rights as institutions, so Democrats get away with far less pushback than they deserve, on many different topics. If someone were to wake up tomorrow and declare that the Republicans were the party of Science and Human Rights - get this - it would still fit perfectly (albeit for different reasons), and it would be the exact same story in reverse.

But anyways, sorry for the digression. Please go on about projections and hyperbolic delusions and upside-down la-la lands. I'm quite intrigued at listening to the usage of these words are being applied, and would like to hear more.

Agree. Republicans are always characterized as dumb, evil, and Hitler

Democrats always characterized as intelligent, kind, and the only choice to “save” America.

Democrats think elections are a bug, not a feature. Democrats insist only democrats should win elections, especially the presidential election. Any other outcome is doom for us all.

People who are in America illegally should be out processed at any available facility and deported.

Trump doesn’t want illegal immigrants confined in camps inside the US, because our taxpayers are still responsible for their upkeep. Trump has not proposed or ever said he is going to put people in camps and hold them prisoner.

He’s going to deport people who don’t legally belong in America.

You are delusional.

Then why is OP complaining? She’s had Democrat presidents vast majority of past two decades.

My son is a military officer and voting for Trump.

You need to seek therapy.

You and your son are delusional.

No one has a "country home" in Leesburg, I mean what?! NoVA is booming due to tech and data center jobs etc. housing prices have gone up in outlying areas, yes. It's not "Biden" ugh.

You are delusional.
