Cramming your religion down other people’s throats at their place of work where it’s actually illegal to do that is extremely hateful. |
Yes, it really is. Go look it up. And you are correct that my feelings don’t matter. It’s the law that matters. So just follow the law and we will all be fine. |
Civilized people don't pollute public spaces just next it's not that bad if only they do it. They aren't special exemption to decent behavior. It's trashy behavior to selfishly commandeer limited common space like that. Do you like filtering through your spam email to find import messages? |
Someone at my job has a bible verse in their email signature.
They are not a very nice person, ironically. |
Just because a very sad soul reads a greeting card as "cramming religion down other people's throats" does not make it so. It sounds like a lovely greeting, wishing teachers a good year. Take a chill pill, PP, or perhaps something stronger. You are beginning to sound unhinged. |
And you need to stay away from my children with your brainwashing shit. Thanks |
Fortunately, people like you don't determine who gets to be around children. Unfortunately, people like you get to recruit vulnerable children to abuse at your churches. |
If you think a gift is good because it makes the sender feels good, not the recipient, you need to spend a lot more time reading the Bible. |
I hope you get fired if you ever do this shit at work. Keep your religious shit at home. I want no part of it. You have no right to inflict it on me. Also, it’s against the law to do this at schools so the unhinged ones are the ones breaking the law . |
I get to determine who gets to be around my children. And I can tell you right now, my kids would not be in your class. Nor would I feel any obligation to keep quiet to other parents as to the reason why. Anyone who gets this upset about a simple "have a good year card" has a mental health issue. Any rational person would see that. By the way, you don't have kids of your own, do you? Ask me how I know. |
Careful. The your Christlike love is shining right through. My guess is that you’re not responding to OP. There are definitely a lot of us who feel the same way she does. I’m grateful your “good natured” Bible verses are not allowed in public schools where children of all religions belong. But you are probably one of those Christian’s who thinks they are all demanded to hell and you’re just saving them. I hope there are many more teachers like OP in our public schools instead of lunatics like you. |
I would write RETURN TO SENDER and leave it on the desk of the secretary who put it in my mailbox. |
Its effing offensive to non believers! You’re a teacher , getting ready for school to start, there is so much info to get through this time of year and you get a Bible verse to read?! Just no… |
Perhaps you are far wiser than me. All I can find online is many references to the fact churches CAN distribute flyers at schools. Can you point out the specific law? I stand by my initial thought. I’m going to throw out the flyer. I’m also going to throw out most of the flyers with it. I’m too busy doing my job, so I don’t have room to get angry about the little things. I may not have a lot of room for religion, but someone I work with may. The same way someone I work with may find use in the soccer lesson flyer, the store coupon, etc. I’m not about limiting people. |
Teacher here. I’m more offended by the extra work dumped into my box than some flyer. Who says you have to read it? |
