Most atheists are far more naturally moral and to me it's just a natural benefit for humanity to care for each other, how is that not obvious to the natural order of things?

From a purely naturalist starting point, what does "moral" mean? Because nature is red in tooth and claw, and survival of the fittest is the prevailing mechanism for how we got here, why shouldn't the stronger simply dominate the weaker, as it aids in survival?

That is how you see it. I think caring for family, community, humanity leads to greater advancement. You don't have to crush others to win, that is what some people lack understanding of.

We have a better chance of producing descendants if we live in a community. And certain social rules (murder is bad) make those communities successful.

I’m convinced that some humans just need an external influence to help them make good decisions (AKA follow social rules/expectations). It just doesn’t come naturally for them.

A good example is “born again” believers. Many made very bad choices earlier in life and wanted to make a change. So they chose an external influence to keep themselves in line.

It does sound really annoying, like junk mail. Other religions, charities, political groups, businesses, MLMs, scam artists get wind of the idea to advertise in teacher boxes and there will be no respite from being advertised to, even if it's just a "Smile, Applebees loves you" card wishing you well. But as annoying as it sounds, I agree with those that say it's not angering, just disconcerting. We know some people love this stuff and we have to interact and accept them as part of our society, including propaganda and all.

The legal challenge will come when the satanic temple shows up and demands that they be allowed to put messages in mailboxes. School secretary or whoever made this questionable choice says “no.” School could get sued and would lose.
