Garner left her Alias co star Vartan for Affleck in 2004, got pregnant with Violet in early 2005, married Ben in mid-2005, Violet is born early December.

There are even some that say Violet is vartan’s daughter but I don’t believe this.

The point is all 3 have a history of rebounds and cheating especially Affleck and Jennifer Lopez who also met Affleck on the set of Gigli in December 2001 when she was a newlywed married Sept 29, 2001 to her backup dancer Cris Judd. Cris was given a nice divorce settlement to go away silently in May 2002. Lopez and Affleck went public the same week

If it isn’t about money, why would she divorce on the 2 year anniversary date (August 20th)? It seems she was meeting a deadline given to her by her lawyer

This all happened literally decades ago. People mature and grow up, some later than others, but most all of them do by this time of life.

Ben is a narcissist and a love bomber. He sees women in terms of "winning" them. Once he wins them, he moves on to the next target. Ben seeks the sexy vixen type that gets lots of attention. The only issue I can maybe see if dividing up expenses (not income) — I think they each have too much pride to want a cut of each other’s income but Ben may feel some irritation at taking an equal share in losses/expenses for things that he affirmatively didn’t want, like the documentary and the showy wedding and maybe the house. Especially if all that showy stuff was the reason for the breakup. I could see there being some negotiation about how to handle things like that. Hopefully they’ll have a good mediator. Yeah, I think their finances are pretty complicated and I could see each of them having certain gripes: her more significant expenditure of funds plus his not wanting the majority of that stuff she's putting him on the hook for. Also, she's known to be a good businesswoman and frugal in certain respects (ironic, I know). I could see her wanting the financial piece worked out very meticulously.

That is NOT their anniversary date. They were legally married in July of 2022. August 20 was when they had their big ceremony, but they were already married at that point.

Lopez filed on the date of their second ceremony. She probably did it intentionally but everyone can see that that date means nothing to Ben. He will soon forget about it like it never happened.
