FTR, I am not a fan of any of these people. But I’d love to see Ben and Garner reunite. I’ve seen it happen IRL with another couple (alcoholic dad blew up his happy home, shacked up with a younger woman for years, etc. but eventually cleaned up and proved himself to his ex-wife and young adult kids).

she could have stayed with him and have a normal life but that wouldn't look glamorous enough from the outside. her #1 priority is to incite envy of other (very shallow) women. and now everyone pities her.

Ben doesn't seem like a guy who would go after her money. Nor would she want any. They have no lawyers, probably a quick annulment or a decoupling by a court appointed mediator.

Surprised that they didn't have a prenup, but, they both have plenty of $, maybe there is enough trust there that they can divorce using a mediator.

I never understood the rush to marry. Why not just live together. Be a couple.

Throwing dream weddings works great for publicity, gives one extra height as a celebrity and brings projects and money.

Hollywood sells myth of love between celebrities who go through partners and breakups like paper napkins.

In the real world, a DH who spends time with his kids and has a good relationship with the ex is a good guy, not a mess.

Funny how y'all are dinging him and also saying that he isn't the type to go after her $ even with no prenup. Not sure what standards you are using and judging him by, tbh.

Gamblers always steal from their wife’s pocket book. Ben is not above asking for money. Divorce can bring out the worst in people especially if they’re coaxed by attorneys to go after the money. In my opinion, she obviously stalled this till the cut off date (2 year anniversary) for a reason and out of an abundance of caution advised by her lawyer. She has more money than he does and if she waited longer than 2 years to divorce, she may owe him

They are trying to act like a normal family while sending daughter to college like parents should. Also a good public impression. Why wouldn't Garner help her children's dad earn
more for children's inheritance?
