I think it was a combo of the reality show he did with his family which showed him in a different light -- more hapless dad and husband than gangsta rapper -- plus his friendship with Martha, his coaching and financial and other support for little league sports and his willingness to laugh at himself.

He had/has a show with Martha Stewart which is, i think, what blossomed into a friendship.I remember years ago, there used to be a meme circulating wherein you had a side-by-side pic of Snoop and Martha and it read:Guess who's the convicted felon amongst these two or something to that effect.

I think snoop is a terrible role model, it is a disgrace that he is now appearing as the face of our Country, he is a pot head, uncultured, ganglike figure. I have no clue who is behind him and what are they trying to accomplish. Our country needs a deep cleaning
