100,000 federal jobs shipped out of DC and reclassify 50,000 civil servants.

If Trump can cut that Gordian knot, then you'd have a cheaper and better federal bureaucracy.

My agency is sorely under staffed and many of us are doing 2 people’s jobs. I work extra unpaid hours every week just to get the work done because I had to absorb the duties of someone who left. You sound hateful and ignorant.

This! There might have been dead weight decades ago but the agencies I’ve worked at are very lean. Now with boomers retiring, it’s pretty painful.

Boomers retiring and Millennials having better options. They don’t need the health insurance because most companies provide that benefit and those that do not have access to the ACA.

Most of my team are millennials. But I think because of the decades spent slamming the government, folks don’t want to work for it.

All this means is Feds will have to actually work rather than collect 6 figure paychecks while working 3 hours per day. Heaven forbid anyone has to actually perform in their job and can be fired for doing bad jobs. Being basically impossible to fire while collecting paychecks for doing nothing is absurd.

Including FBI, CIA, NSA? And stop sharing intelligence info with our allies? It doesn’t make sense. The US and our allies are under constant threat of terrorist attacks. We already know Iran has infiltrated or even outright lead some of the Palestinian protests. The US would be a lot less safe if their plan went through.

Trump said he trusts Russia more than he trusts our own intelligence community. Trump's plan would let our enemies destroy us from within.

You're probably doing 2 people's jobs because your agency is full of people doing between 0.0 and 0.5 jobs. What is your agencies budget compared to five years ago?

Senior leaders, the people on the chopping block here, are the ones that prioritize pet projects and protecting poor performers. You should be blaming them for being over-worked.

Thank you for once again demonstrating that Republican ideas and attitudes and their approach toward governance is rooted in complete ignorance.

Bingo. Short of sexual harassment or losing their clearance it’s impossible to remove dead weight.

Also the fact that agencies really don't want to hear from people until they have served for at least 20 years. Younger people want to have a voice and effect change but agencies are dominated by politicals and long-serving career people. Neither are interested in the opinions of others. It makes younger staff disaffected and causes them to leave.

This has been my experience sadly.

False. I've definitely seen federal employees get fired for less.
As usual the people who have so much to say don't actually know the facts.

I have no idea what you're talking about and doubt you know what you're talking about as well. Our budget ran through multiple successive years of CR (de-facto cuts given inflation) along with outright cuts when we finally did get appropriations passed, and I don't know of anyone who is doing "0.0 to 0.5 of a job." You've been reading too much conservative fantasy fiction.

Wrong again! Everyone in my agency is overworked.

Our agency’s budget hasn’t increased much over the past 5 years.

I had a coworker fired. People are fired from gov jobs. You are grossly misinformed.

You sound like one of those bad managers who makes from up high without knowing any of the reality on the ground.
