The point was being made that the PP who claimed her high ranking kid was waitlisted with a 3.99 and 174 at all T13s makes sense. Her stats had to be higher for Harvard, especially if not hooked or had an "oomph" credential earned after college graduation.

You are out of touch with the current reality

For example at Cornell last year, the LSAT median was 172, the 75th% was 175

Median GPA was 3.9, 75th% was 3.97

And that was last year, word is numbers will be up across the board this year. Why is it so hard to believe that someone with no work experience, a median GPA, and an LSAT not in the top quarter of the class would be wait listed?

Who said “white”? If you think “bringing something different” and “diversity” can only be about race, that’s a YOU problem. “Different” can be unique work experience and “diversity” can be geographic - just two examples of many. The point has been hammered that it’s no longer just stats, high stats are a dime a dozen. Relax and think.

High stats are not a dime a dozen. The LSAT is statistically normalized. The top 1% and 2% are just that. The complaint was that because of diversity, a made up student with stats that are competitive for HYS got waitlisted at all or the top schools. Not true.
