Game was 3/19 before spring break. Game was to be at Dominion but it was played at Indy as Dominion had issues with their field lighting not working.
Indy 11-5 win per Laxnumbers and LoCo Sports reporting.

Try again!

You may want to check the actual scoreboards... Indy won 11-5.

People really do not like Indy

Loudoun county prosecutors?

Freedom over Riverside 10-9 in OT. Neither team had more than a 1 goal lead all night. Freedom's goalie was solid, and defense caused turniver after turnover and never let Riverside get in a rythem. Congratulations to Freedom who had never beaten Dominion or Riverside.

Boys Top#5 Rankings
1. Riverside
2. Freedom
3. Cindy
4. Broad Run
5. Briar Woods

Despite the OT loss to Freedom, I still think they are the top team in Loudoun. Zach Walsh still isn't playing, but if and when he comes back he is thr best player in Loudoun on a Public HS Team. Freedom separated themselves for the #2 spot, after beating both BW and Riverside. They are doing something right over there in South Riding. Indy is #3, maye they are better than 3 by the end of the season and with games vs. BW, Broad Run and Riverside left, we'll eventually know. #4 is Broad Run, with an undefeated record, but no signature win yet. They could go undefeated in the regular season, which isn't out of the question. Briar is #5, with losses to Freedom and Battlefield, but a close win vs. Patriot. They have played solid teams so far, and likely won't be challenged until the Indy and Riverside Games. That District Playoffs tournament, you will want the #1 seed. Dominion/Loudoun County would be #6 and #7, but there's a gap between them and the top 5.

I meant Indy, not Cindy. Can't correct it.

Many of these kids have played Dulles South together. It was like a playoff game, very intense and full of energy. Both sidelines were electric. Everytime Freedom built a 2, 3, or 4 goal lead, BW had an answer to tie the game up. Thr 4th quarter had Freedom up by 1 goal, 3X only to have BW tie it up. Both teams had possessions in OT, with Freedom hitting pipe 2X, before winning it in OT. There were shots from both teams that were simply amazing goals. Both goalies played well, but wouldn't say it was stellar. Loved the back-n-forth battle all night long. Too bad these teams won't see each other again this year.

I had quite a different take. Sloppy game! Both teams have individual pieces, but are not whole complete teams. I can say these are not two of the “better” teams in Loudoun, as I can count at least 3 that are playing better at the moment.

Riverside is the top in Loudoun, and the next 4 are a distant ways away.
Indy, Freedom, Broad Run and Briar are the next 4, but they could all beat each other on given nights.

I beg to differ.
A look at the 2024 common opponents, W/L and margin of victory: as things stand today there are three tiers of play here (really 4 but I did not look into the lowest tier.
From the other 2024 thread and written pre Briar/Freedom game:

The question on the table here is how good is FSR and what do this weeks games mean for them. First, I do not believe FSR will win much less be that close (10+) vs. Riverside. If they can keep it under 7, this is a good sign for the strength FSR. Anything over 10 is a very bad sign. This comes down to how good is BW and what does a FSR win or loss there mean.

I believe FSR needs to blow out BW (7+) to mean anything. BW took a thumping from Battlefield and had a 1 goal game with Patriot. This puts BW significantly behind Riverside and the Indy team that loss by 2 to Battlefield. In Loudoun alone, this puts BW below Broad Run too who has some nice large wins to date and is 5-0.

Another common opponent here is Dominion with FSR and Indy. Indy was +10 vs Dominion and FSR was +1. If you extend that to another Dominion game, Dominion was only +1 vs Loudoun County High.

The comment that "FSR is a complete team at 6a" is laughable. They are having trouble with 4a "mediocre" teams. A close game between FSR and BW only solidifies that they are in the third tier of Loudoun and not even close to the top tier of NOVA as a whole.
In ranking Loudoun by itself, pre game:
Tier 1) Riverside - also included in/AT top tier of NOVA
Tier 2) Broad Run, Indy- #5-10 rage in NOVA
Tier 3) Dominion, FSR, BW, LVHS, LCHS, Woodgrove, Champe - et al.

This is based on wins and interplay between these team this year in regular season (not scrimmages, LOL).
For either team to set itself apart from the other tier 3 schools in LoCo, a clear and convincing win (+10) is necessary tonight. However, I will say that FSR can play a +5 to 7 win with BW and then follow it with a "close" +5 loss to Riverside, they could be considered for a jump to Tier 2.

Otherwise, a close game is seen as two average teams battling it out.

Time to recalibrate your math and AI System.

I will say I did not see FSR beating Riverside. However ther RHS FoGo Sat. With him it’s a different game.

Based on results and current interplay between teams I would throw all 5 into a “depends on the night” .
RHS- not as good as years past and without the Fogo, it’s a beatable team
FSR- beat RHS and BWHS, but a head scratcher against Dominion a reality check?
IHS- close vs Battlefield and blow out of Dominion
BWHS- got killed by Battlefield, but OT with FSR
BRHS- on a tear, but have they faced anyone of note?

The great news is that we don’t really need to guess as there are enough games between them H2H to figure it all out.

The Riverside FO Middie is a stud, and game changer, but he didn't play in the Riverside wins over Madison or Atlee either, so it shouldn't matter that he didn't play against Freedom.

If he comes back this season, he will certainly be on the best players in Loudoun.

Or the use of the word "he" multiple times.

I think the question was an attempt at humor. I laughed so hard my side hurts.
