No he did not play at Madison and they lost all but 1 FO. Madison is not what they were last year either. Robinson proved that last week. Yes, RHS FoGo played at Atlee. Number 26 and went back and watched the stream to double check. |
| What 2027 club teams do Loudoun boys have that are strong enough to compete against DC/ Baltimore teams? Or do they need to play for someone on the beltway? |
| Don't know the 27's well but have watched the Loudoun Clubs for over a decade. They still have a long ways to go While a young team may start strong, it's inevitable the top kids will move to the stronger programs like Madlax, DCE and Next Level. |
It is ashame, but true. |

Lots of good games in Loudoun tonight for Boys Lacrosse.
Woodgrove at Indy (Indy +7) Dominion at Broad Run (BR +8) LV are Stone Bridge (SB +3) Briar Woods at Tusky (BW +14) Freedom at Champe (Freedom +5) Saturday Riverside at St. Anne's-Belfield (St. AB +3) |
VLC catches a lot of flack on DCUM, some deserved and some not, but they have potential to be on par with those three. It all depends on the class. In 2026, VLC is competitive with DCE and NL, and better than Madlax. In 2027, they formed a new team this past year that has some very good players and a good coach, and I expect would be on par with the others. (and ahead of DCE 2027). |
That is good to hear that 2027 has an option. Not so lucky with 2028 from what I am hearing. |
|
VLC I would consider a hybrid between LoCo and inside the beltway teams. Just haven't ever put together a top 5/10 Nationally ranked team or had kids consistently ranked in recruiting like the others.
In the past (not saying what happens in the future) their top kids have left too for the stronger exposure. |
VLC 2019, 2023 have been ranked in top 10 and also had double digit D1 recruiting. 2024 was close and 2026 may also be very strong in recruiting and likely top 10 team or close to it. Not as sure about the elementary age teams but the title of the post is high school. Also not many if any kids 2019-2026 have a record of leaving VLC for stronger exposure. Kids looking to get more exposure in HS tend to go to showcases and prospect days or Nike team for that type of exposure not another club. |
| Merging with Cavs has been its Achille's Heel. |
| Fun fact: Next season VLC will also likely have more players in the PLL than any of the other local clubs. |
| Congrats to their continued hard work! |
We know it won’t be from the 2028 team… |
The 2028 team blew up under bad circumstances and some of the Moms are still pissy about it. Those players are never coming back. But VLC is planning to roll out a brand new 2028 team with entirely new coaches and new players, like they did for 2027. Could it happen? Yes, if they assign a top coach and the incoming PVI class wants to play together. The three “good” programs in this class DCE, NL, ML are still finding their way, and all have rosters that are awfully big. The pieces are there for VLC. But Will it happen? That’s another question. |

Loudoun Boys tonight 4/16:
Predictions in bold Justice/ Park View - Just a guess, don't know much about either team. Independence/ Loudoun Valley - Should be an easy game for Indy. Woodgrove/ Riverside - Even easier for Riverside. Loudoun County/ Stone Bridge - Toss up and depends on which team shows up to play. Lightridge/ Tuscarora - In the end I think Lightridge pulls it out. Briar Woods/ Broad Run - Tough call as the only measure is both played LCHS and won. Can see either team winning, but BWHS has played tougher competition and may be more game ready and tested. |
