| So what kind of immigration do you all support? It sounds like you think restricting immigration is xenophobic? |
Sounds like you are worried about the US having fewer people of European descent in the future. People on the left or not worried about that. Why are YOU so concerned about it? |
“Poisoning the blood” is not a legal distinction. It is as racist as racism can be. |
I don’t know a single Democrat who supports unrestricted migration to this country. We’re just not as triggered by photos of non-white migrants as those on the right are. |
What kinds of restrictions do you support? |
Plus one No ne I know supports open borders - |
I don’t spend all day thinking about it like you guys do so forgive me if I don’t have a researched list of restrictions to serve up to you. But I do think that the whole immigration system needs to be overhauled—that reform is long overdue—and that it will require bipartisan action, something that is unlikely to happen anytime soon. I don’t believe in quick fixes, especially those promised by Donald Trump. TBH, right now I’m more focused on preserving our democracy than worrying about our borders. |
For me personally, I prefer a more orderly induction into the country, people should not be sneaking across the borders illegally. People here legally should be entitled to services from the government if they are paying into the system, so I am not for people being here illegally and somehow getting services from the government without being taxpayers. But beyond that, I don't really care. |
Seasonal work visas so ag workers can go back and forth across the border without danger or paying cartel coyotes More temporary worker visas Mandatory use of eVerify by American employers It's more effective to punish the American employers than to play wack-a-mole with the laborers |
How do ILLEGAL immigrants poison the blood as opposed to legal immigrants? |
Well said |
Legal immigrants are vetted and you know who is coming into the country. Illegal immigrants are not vetted and could be criminals, terrorists, etc. This is a quote from the other time Trump used the word “poison”:
So I think he’s talking about diseases and criminals poisoning the blood of the country. I don’t think he’s talking about race mixing like Hitler did in Mein Kampf. |
|
Here’s an excerpt of how the word “poison” was used in Mein Kampf:
|
Keep on believing that. |
Of course it is but those employers profit from undocumented labor so it won’t happen. |
