Thank you! |
Yes, and... The New England old money heiress who has yet to hear of sex. |
Yes! The red! Thank you for reminding me! Down puffer vest, too! |
| White Guess jeans - I begged for them and they were the fanciest clothing I owned. A close second was my Esprit tote bag. |
I was just at my parents and pulled out my high school CB ski jacket from the hall closet (why was it there still? — this was in the 90s, not 80s). It is amazingly warm, I might resurrect it! Also, my mom has gifted me her old collection of le sportsac purses — I use them now! I do think Umbro shorts were pretty flattering and wish I could find them now. As an 80s kid (elem school) I loved all things neon and bike shorts (they’re back!). I hated tapering my jeans and stirrup pants. I liked those hippie rugby-like pullover long sleeve shirts. Loved doc martens (was that 80s or 90s?). |
Yes! Peak 80s elementary school. My prissy friend owned them and lots of Benetton. |
Oh I had that too I loved it!! I felt so cool in it. I also loved my rainbow t shirt. |
| I suppose this means I really should get rid of some of the things people have mentioned that are still hanging around? I still have the rattiest of rugby shirts… |
| I haven’t seen anyone mention their Camp Beverly Hills gear! |
| Remember the thin leather bright colored belts with the preppy gold clasp with shells or frogs? They were interchangeable. |
I bought a knock off “Camp Ocean City” @ Beach Week ‘87 that I paired with Jams shorts! Another fabulous outfit I had was Organically Grown (brand) cotton pants that I wore with a “camp shirt” style blouse tucked in and tied with a rope belt…with white huarache sandals. Popped the collar on my camp shirt. |
DP. Me too! I learned how to sew by narrowing the legs of all my jeans. |

Mia white flats
Complements jeans (rectangular white tag on fly) Benetton rugby shirt Polo shirts, layered with popped collars Anything from The Limited, Gap, Esprit, or Britches (loved their men's sweaters and rugby shirts) Tretorn sneakers |
+1 Bermuda bag! |
I coveted those jeans so much but was never allowed to get them!! You were the girl I envied (in middle school, though). |
