What am I missing? Didn’t the GOP want abortion to be decided by states? Isn’t an election the way to make that decision in a democracy??

Tonight’s results show that voters hate Republicans more.

I hate to reference Palmer Report, but he pointed out that the much quoted NYT/Siena poll is a little… off. They have African American voters going for Trump at 22%. 22%, does that sound legit? There was more, but basically the poll and the accompanying article was a great example of lying with numbers and yellow journalism.

And as we see tonight… people don’t want what the GOP is selling.

And the people are also bucking the narrative that even the MSM was trying to pitch with all of their negativity toward Dems as well.

YES thank you I hadn’t seen that yet. Pennsylvania will retain its 5-2 Democratic majority on the state Supreme Court.

The GOP wanted abortion to be decided by the state legislatures that are so gerrymandered that their maps were declared unconstitutional three times. Too bad, so sad.

Just wait till the same day registration votes come in from VA HD-41. And HD-97 is still in play! All my calls and door knocking were worth it. And I'm not stopping. 2024, look out.

Thank you thank you thank you from someone who wasn’t able to volunteer this year because my dad has been in and out of the hospital for two months. You and everyone like you make a difference. ❤️🇺🇸

(I hope your dad’s path, whichever direction it is heading, is smooth.)

Thank you so much. Since were in the political forum, he has the John McCain/Teddy Kennedy/Beau Biden diagnosis. It’s vicious.

I hope the Republicans have a better night in 2024. The gender identity cult must be stopped.

Whatever you’re doing is working wonders.

It would be GREAT if tonight ended up as a rebuke of Youngkin.

He staked his political future on the outcomes of tonight. He’s done. What a swing and a miss. Between this and his embarrassing comment that the midterms would “send a message” to Biden it’s plainly obvious he doesn’t have his finger on the pulse of the electorate.

Clearly the fearmongering about crime and trannies failed. What phantom menace will Republicans try to scare voters about in 2024?

I'm not a Youngkin fan, but if he wants a political future I think he still has one - but Trump has to lose the '24 election for it to be a possibility. Youngkin can walk away for a couple of years and then reappear as a conservative stalwart in the mode of conservatism prior to Trump's entry on the scene. He can also seek to be more moderate in VA his remaining time in office. I'd argue that Youngkin is not in a terrible place politically if his ultimate goal is higher office in '28 or beyond.

Democrats having a very good night. So much for progressives screaming about support for Israel against Hamas will cost them at the polls.

Only if they could rig it so the states could ban it.

I'm keeping one eye on this race to see if it results in a run-off.

As long as abortion is on the ballot, and it is, given GOP rhetoric and action, then any woman over 50 and under 50 will be working hard for the pro-women's health candidates.

You’ve got that right! Those gender reveal parties have gotten out of control.

Nope. The 15 week promise killed his chances on the national stage.
