The Dem DA was horrible and should have lost her seat. Signed, a Dem

I don’t know if she has conceded or not. Her apparent defeat has been memory holed.

After flipping the Virginia House blue last week, Democrats now control 41 state legislative chambers – the most they’ve held in a decade.
Here’s the plan to get more:

Here’s the plan to get more:

This is what you get when all the GOP offer is taking away people rights (voting & abortion), blocking people from getting healthcare (Medicare expansion), and making it easier for anyone to get guns, all while destroying our planet and scapegoating minorities.

She pulled it off. I think that makes up for all the Democratic losses from two years ago.

This guy, Douglas, had a lead of 42 (!) votes before the recount and now has 100+. The board of three he’s been elected to is a partisan board and this is the first time it’s had a Democratic majority in 100 years.

“Chesterfield and Henrico counties have long been politically purple. Both county boards will now be run by Democrats, replacing longstanding Republican majorities. Democrats, running in newly configured districts, also won several state legislative seats that represent the counties.

In Chesterfield Democrats will take a 3-2 majority on the Board of Supervisors after Democratic newcomer Jessica Schneider defeated two-term Clover Hill supervisor Chris Winslow, a Republican. Democrats will have a 4-1 majority in Henrico after Three Chopt Supervisor Tommy Branin, a Republican, lost to lawyer Misty Whitehead, a Democrat, and Democrat Jody Rogish won in Tuckahoe - a seat left open after the retirement of longtime Supervisor Pat O'Bannon, a Republican first elected to the board in 1995.”

Democrat here. A recount is absolutely what should happen. Totally within the margin. Oh yes, every vote counts.
