2023 Election Day Results Thread

Thread for actual numbers as results come in, not discussion.

Big races are in Kentucky, Mississippi, New Jersey and (duh) Virginia. Also ballot questions on abortion and marijuana legalization in Ohio plus a Supreme Court seat in Pennsylvania.

The forecasters at Split Ticket have already called Kentucky for incumbent Democratic Governor Andy Beshear.

Beshear is performing better everywhere that’s reported so far than he did when he won last time.

The experts compare results county by county to 4 years ago, and in each return. Bashear was running 3-4 points better in the red areas, so it was easy to extrapolite to statewide.

Beshear running five points ahead of what his polling average was.

The cynic in me wonders whether having a POC GOP candidate against a white incumbent played a role in Kentucky.
