Don't worry about the expensive plane tickets. Trust me, it is not a problem for us! And, USA is stolen land built by the labor of stolen people. As such, it is up for grabs. The people to whom this land belongs are contained in a reservation, too weak, drunk and uneducated to put up any protest. |
If you have such a low opinion of the people who built the country, then what appeals to you about living in the U.S.? I hope you are working to make it a better place, as many of us do who have lived here for many generations. And I think that you can at least give credit to the U.S. for evolving, and so it's not fair to throw all past generations under the bus. And presumably some long-ago U.S. policy allowed your family's immigration to the U.S., which seems like a positive. And does India have a perfect history of respecting land rights and treating all people with dignity and respect? If so, then I am glad to hear that, and the U.S. can learn from that. |
No country is perfect, no community is perfect. However, PP retorted in such a harsh manner because your post reeks of jealousy and racism. Majority of us whether Indians or Americans are well aware that we must continue to evolve for the better and our pasts are not perfect. Unfortunately, you don’t have an argument, you have an axe to grind. You sound educated and worldly,I am sure you can do better. Cheers! |
In India, 600 million people live without toilets/sanitation out of total pop of 1.7b. You figure if Indians were so bright and innovative they would have discovered a solution...ie the basic septic tank and drilling a well. Looks like Indians can only be financially successful in a nation such as the US because the road to $$ is already paved. Oh...Bill Gates, after much effort developed a maintenance free toilet, which he then offered to Indians, who promptly rejected it. Google it. |
I am so sorry. My DD’s one of the best friends is a Pakistani-American. They were classmates in middle and high schools. |
People, and animals of all kind really, tend to gravitate towards greener pastures. The cream of the crop Indians go where they can do better than they can do 'back home'. Why do you think White people left Europe for the US? They ran away from whatever their situation was in Europe to fight, kill and steal land from the Natives in the Americas, a choice that was clearly morally and spiritually inferior (whitewashed by the Priesthood, of course). Why was that OK but Indians leaving India to come here, not? At least the Indians are not engaging in morally and spiritually inferior activities, nor are they killing the natives. Maybe a course like this might help you. https://www.khanacademy.org/test-prep/lsat/lsat-lessons/logical-reasoning/a/logical-reasoning--article--getting-started |
Thanks...but you missed my point. |
