+1. My mom seriously thinks everyone with tattoos lives in a trailer. No freaking clue.

To be fair, most with several tattoos do or have similar lifestyle.

Shut up, Karen. Are you really this stupid? And have you never seen how much a tattoo costs?

If cost was prohibitive or managing finances was a priority, ladies working at cash registers wouldn't be wasting their money on claw manicures and fake lashes. Different folk's different strokes. People buy booze and drugs with rent money, questionable decision making is a trait often common among folks with lots of tattoos.

I was recently at a very high end golf resort and there was a man who had an awesome incredible mountain scene tattooed on his arm. It looked like a painting. We were only there for lunch. He was staying there for a week. Which means that he has a lot more disposable income than you (probably), I, or nearly everyone.

My work colleagues daughter has recently gotten a number of tattoos. My colleague is not thrilled so talks to me a little about it. The daughter has told her mom that there is some sort of "rush" or "high" feeling involved while one is being tattooed and that is part of the reason she wants to get more. What is this about? Anyone else can explain this supposed rush?

Imo it’s like the thrill of getting a totally new haircut. It’s the fun of doing something different with your look. This, at least, was the feeling for me. I got a couple in my youth, but have since gotten them removed as they don’t suit my taste anymore.

Oh no. I was just there and commented to my husband that tattoos found Utah.

OP — come to north Reston. Not too bad.

But I honestly don’t care if my neighbors have them. How strange to make that a housing criteria.

+1 mine was not visible except at the beach. GenXer

A lot of people in DC have tattoos that are hidden by work clothes.

I'm surprised no one mentioned Saudi Arabia. Sounds perfect for you, OP!
