Courage came away with an impressive win last night against Armour, someone knows something here about this team being a contender. Good players and good call by the PP. |
Courage is one of the best soccer clubs in America. This is not surprising. |
| Arlington looked good against Beach and NVA. |
How is Beach FC? |
| Beach is overrated, Richmond is good though -- no mention of them here? |
They are not in the tournament this weekend I believe. But I heard they just tied NC Courage in a friendly. |

The VA Teams
Arlington will be best. But it is the kind of team where parents sigh if your kid makes a mistake and the players are anxious for fear of not playing well. Most like the real world but maybe too early for kids. Great team for sure Richmond has some good players, will be goood don't count them out at all Union unknown due to new players but will be better than last year's Mclean team so who knows VDA always tough to play. Good club and coaching and there teams play tough Beach is good but a click down NVA also a click down and also unknown due to the merger. Good program and depending on the merger maybe stronger we will see Brave not this year but may get stonger when non starters move around from the other clubs |
| Arlington with 16 goals and none given up in 3 games so far this weekend. |
| So let's check Arlington's results at Copa Rayados this weekend. It was 3-0 over #6 Beach; 4-0 over # 7 NVA/Loudoun; and 9-0 over #8 Skyline/SOCA. Sorry, where's the parent who was talking about Beach & NVA earlier? Arlington is clearly the dominant team at this age group. Proven it time and time again. Next... |
This anonymous alpha is hillarious. Flex baby flex! The 2011 Arlington girls team is very strong, agreed. They have a dominant defense, you'd expect them to score more goals though. 2-0 over #476 in the country SC United, then blanked in a final? I see alot clean sheets in your scorelines, where the goals at alpha parent? 9-0 over Skyline/SOCA, hardly a thing to brag about. Skyline had a -19 goal differential (think #8 is a bit of a stretch). It will be interesting to see how this team develops over the years. Next...lol

Completely agree on this! 2011 Arlington has dominant defense which gives them a lot of clean sheet even in tough completion but don’t see a lot of goals in those tough competition. Parents need to chill. It’s only beginning of the season. |

Parents need to chill. It’s only beginning of the season. You guys were obviously not at the Skyline game. Arlington's first 8 goals were nothing special for them (alternating bicycle kicks and scorpion kicks...yawn), but the last goal was something amazing. The girl propelled both her feet forward at the same time to strike the ball in the motion of doing a backflip and scored that way (she landed the flip on her feet). It was amazing. |

Must be training by watching Shaolin Soccer. |
Spot on. Their defense rarely let anything passes by which contribute massively on the team success. I believe one of them play for both 2011 and 2010 team which isn't surprising. Heard they gained some attackers this season as well which overall should make them even stronger. Hopefully we have more teams from the east coast advancing at the ECNL playoff next year but I won't hold my breath on it. |
