I’ve never met a very wealthy educated man with a wife who is a pink collar worker. Not once. I’m sure they are out there, but it’s uncommon.

Yes Barack is charismatic and easy to out a lot of faith in as a go-getter, but this was not a trophy wife /millionaire wedding situation. His maternal grandparents were millionaires but not gifting him $10m homes or Bentleys or extravagant vacations .

No not really. Usually it’s an mba/mba couple married in their 30s and kicking @$$ career-wise. With an army of Nannies, drivers, ski house and hamptons summer office. They were both likely sellside then buyside, so stayed in the buyside post b school.
