Her headpiece was so gorgeous.

The Significance: Middleton also demonstrated that she's always capable of surprising her fans with her fashion choices. She eschewed the predictions that she would wear a traditional tiara to the coronation, and instead, chose a silver headpiece by Jess Collett x Alexander McQueen, featuring embroidery work of rose, thistle, daffodil, and shamrock symbolizing the four nations of the UK.

The little girl’s is sweet. Her mother’s is clumsy in proportion and looks weirdly cheap due to the stark contrast with her hair.

I think Kate's got a bit too big. And the point on top reminds me of something from A Mid Summernight's Dream.

Silly mortals

I really think Camilla looks great here. She's a 70+ year old woman wearing a beautiful cream silk dress. She looks like a Queen.

In what universe? Her dress makes her look like a sack of potatoes.

She looks good for her age.

I think it’s her terrible posture and hair color.

So brassy!

The headpiece looks frightful.

I just wrote how gorgeous it was. Different strokes! I think she looks ethereally beautiful.

She should have worn the Cambridge Lover’s Knot tiara. It would have been a perfect tribute to Diana too.

Thought Catherine looked drop dead gorgeous and the tiara she chose was very beautiful. Having said that I think this was a perfect occasion to wear one of the jeweled tiaras. It was a huge event and would have been quite appropriate even if they wanted to scale everything down.

And the headpieces look very Russian tsarina/anastasia to me.

Camilla didn't want any other women wearing tiaras. Kate came up with this as a workaround.

She must be a nightmare. I don't get it either.

You know you're both just making up garbage, right? So many trolls on this thread.

You don’t find it strange that the women are not wearing tiaras.

Googling is difficult. So much more fun to make up crap and troll.

"It is believed she and the rest of the senior royals opted for the more low-key look to match the atmosphere of the scaled-back ceremony."

Perhaps they should have scaled back the robes then. The tiara is not the thing to scale back.

Yes! Would have been better to just have everyone dressed nicely vs. the robes which really emphasize how out of touch this whole thing is

Yeah I think this looks like a 70 yr old playing dress up with their grand kids. They all look ridiculous.

90% of Camilla's problems would be solved with a better bra. She really just lets the girls hang.

are you making this up? It had to do with the attire of the day.

And who do you think dictated the attire? These are all made up rules. In this case, rules made up by Camilla.

+100 I'm no costume historian the the robes at least for the Prince/Princess of Wales, look like they're from the 1800s or so, so not terribly traditional. Just when the Hanoverians took over. Doubt the Black Prince wore anything like that. Anyone care to google?

George IV (1762-1830), when Prince of Wales c.1796

Anyways, the robes should be dumped.

^^well here's Edward the Black Prince
