The ones that either badly misjudged their expected yield or ones that need to fill specific holes to balance a class or fill a need.

We are a current BVR family and we are really happy.

Agree! My children attended BVR and they/we loved it.

We were there too, for prek! Debating between BVR and NPS but BVR was great today!

Def go with BVR. NPS gets small in upper grades and it can be difficult navigating friend groups. BVR class by 3rd grade is 80-85 kids.

Tell me you have $$$ without telling me you have $$$

Not necessarily. We applied for FA for boarding and got some. Our boarding option ended up being a bit less than the private option here.

Likely declining Flint Hill for boarding.

+1. We have loved BVR so much. And at NPS, people are leaving more and more each grade. Also, NPS is warm and nurturing, but the parent community is often not. We have many friends across various grades and over many years who either left early or suffered through some really crazy mean mom stuff. Especially about the christmas pageant, which moms get really worked up about apparently.

Declining Maret, GDS, Sidwell, Burke, Harvard, Princeton, Yale...allowing your lesser kids a chance to be elite.

Your response would have been so much less BVR if you had stopped after that first sentence.
