What's going on with MadLax 2026

NL doesn’t charge for a year up front. I guess no NL parents on dcum, just the kids who don’t pay the bills

Do happy families leave?

Maybe. Or maybe there is disgust for the club hopping parents who always think their kid has been wronged, such as the kind who bounce from DCE to ML to NL all within less than a year. Hope NL knows what they got themselves into.

THIS

NL will be fine, because their red and blue teams will be fully stocked with paying customers. It is the other players and families who have to be around these people who will be sorry. Players were running from ML to VLC and DCE for a reason.

I hope it’s not the same boys who just left DCE and went to ML. They weren’t there a year.

I know right? I mean they should have stayed even though everyone else was leaving. And even though one of them never actually joined ML.

Those poor, poor teamhoppers. Hopefully they have found their forever home finally at NL.

Emails for current team went out. Most made it back, some were not so lucky. They are now left to the rat race to find a place to play mid season. Bad play by the Mitchell's! Some good kids are left without a team now.

If most made it back, how big is the team now? Maybe it was better to be cut. At least they can find a new team where they can play instead of riding the bench.

The obvious place to go is MadLax 2026. Now that the a-hole families are gone, the culture will be totally different, and unlike Next Level, MadLax goes to the good tournaments like NLF, NAL, and US Club Nationals. they will fly in players from anywhere in the country to fill roster needs. The team won't be anywhere near top 20 nationally, but NL 2026 was never higher than 50-60, if that, so MadLax is probably still an upgrade. Plus, Cabell is never around and unless you are on 2028 or 2024, you literally will never see him and never have to speak with him. I don't know much about the 2026 coach, but it sounds like his greatest crime was allowing the bad element on the team to walk all over him, and now that element is gone, he probably feels liberated and can coach his own way. Being part of the ML 2026 rebuild could actually be a pretty cool opportunity.

The obvious place to go is as far away from Madlax as possible. The 2026 team is a reflection of their toxic owner. Nothing will change.

You don’t think it’s toxic to cut half your team mid year?

True. Parents wouldn't let him play for ML. Hence, move to NL.

ML 2027 cut a bunch of their players a couple years back to bring in a dad coach and his players from BLC. The team is amazingly toxic. ML has absolutely zero high ground here.

Also a few years ago ML brought the entire 2023 DC Dogs team over from Club Blue and only kept 2-3 kids from the ML Capital team. Everyone else was sent to the B team. Most top clubs try to upgrade their talent every year.

True but the ML 2027 situation is different in that they didn’t bring in a group of studs like DC Dogs. CM clearly had a deal with BLC to take their money and in return let the dad coach and many of his kids take spots.

When the dust settles, BOTH the ML and NL teams will be toxic places.

+1
at least the departing ML 2026's are good players. The 2027 Dad coach brought toxicity with no talent.

And now those families are testing the waters and looking for an exit. I can’t believe DCE wouldn’t want good players. The 27 team is really bad but it does have families who left bc of the merge. Maybe they are blocking. Plus DCE is kind of a mess.
