Agree, so ML boys are hoping for different results because all of the sudden they are better off with the NL boys who are horrible with the exception of 3 or so players. Again, the coach's fault is why the ML has underperformed not the boys that don't but in the work or listen.

Disagree; NextLevel has improved a ton and they have a lot more than three good players. And MadLax has a few bad apples, but the majority are good players and good kids. You could put together a dominant roster of 22 players, and I expect the new coach will do exactly that. But gosh it will be ugly for the kids on both teams who don't make it. The Next Level kids were promised a full year on the blue team at August tryouts - how are they going to explain cutting half the roster? And that team has always had a tight nit culture, so a lot of families must be saying WTF.

Next Level Blue went 5-7 in the fall so unless they had 11 guys that didn't show i'm assuming they where all in attendance. So lets just say for discussion 11 "elite" NL and 11 "elite" ML and you have an elite super team? ok. We shall see how the summer goes for them. Agree, the Blue team guys are getting screwed. Give them a chance to see how they do for the year and then after summer blow it up or have try outs. Loyalty and the word of the club mean nothing ever! Get your refund NL parents.

Didn’t some of the DCE go to ML and are they now going to NL? Are all three teams imploding?

Two attack went to ML from DCE in the fall 22. My guess is they are now headed to NL for summer 23.

In the summer/fall ML had some boys move on to DCE and NL.

Am I following right that NL is expected to cut a bunch of kids on this team in the middle of club year (albeit before spring season starts)?

When the guy with supposed college connections can't even get his own kids recruited it is definitely time to jump ship from ML before it is too late for that class of players. But it does suck for the NL players who will now be overlooked.

still early, ml owner’s kids can still get recruited but probably not at a top program.

If the good 2027 players are smart they will make the same move, but to DCE.

Good 27’s or 26’s? The DCE 27 team is awful so there is plenty of playing time available but the org is terrible as the owners kid age out. I think DCE folds this summer unless he finds new parents to take over. His ego won’t allow it.

If so, that is crazy. I realize that many on here will say no club loyalty should ever be expected, and maybe that’s true, but honesty and common decency should be IMO. Sounds like these families and kids were misled.

Who is the new NL 26 coach? The guy from Good Counsel or someone else?

How many kids are actually leaving MadLax - are we talking 5-10 or literally the whole roster?

This is ridiculous…you can like or dislike people
All you want but, how kids are raised is the baseline for how they handle life. You can blame coaches a little but, kids react to anything in life based on what they are taught. If parents are constantly trying to find greener grass, that’s on them not the kids. Shopping around is done by parents period.
Stop blaming kids and coaches.

Too true. Travel lacrosse parents are the ultimate grass is greener chasers. This is going to be such a mess.
