| The expected ML kids jumped ship to NL to form the new super team. Grass is always greener for some. |
| Did they cut the NL team? |
| That is a good question. They paid up in August and were promised a full year. Presumably families are offered a choice between taking a refund and finding a new team, or riding the bench on a 30+ roster. |
Or moved the the Red B team |
| Why would they not wait until summer tryouts to merge the two teams? Seems very unfair to all. |
Yes, but the combined team will be much better then the current NL team. |
But presumably that team has a full roster too. They aren't going to make a third team, so a significant number of players are either going to be on the street auditioning for a new team or be on a super-bloated NL roster. Once the Madlax 2026 culture takes hold, and I am guessing that it already has, NL will be sorry. Yuck. |
Only if the summer tournaments change their rules and allow teams to run an offense using two or three balls. |
They are in high school. They don’t practice or play club games in the Spring so there is nothing but a few optional workouts between now and summer. |
THIS |
NL will be fine, because their red and blue teams will be fully stocked with paying customers. It is the other players and families who have to be around these people who will be sorry. Players were running from ML to VLC and DCE for a reason. |
Even more of a reason to wait. |
I hope it’s not the same boys who just left DCE and went to ML. They weren’t there a year. |
Yes, my understanding is they are part of the group leaving from ML. I feel sorry for the NL families on that team who have been a tight group for years. Unfortunately this is the way things go at this level. Every player and club owner is out for themselves. |
I know right? I mean they should have stayed even though everyone else was leaving. And even though one of them never actually joined ML. |
