+1 That and I understand their country is under-vaccinated because in a country of “zero covid” many felt confident that they wouldn’t need it. |
Sovreign tribal nations. Mask mandate indoors are STILL in place. Employer vaccination mandates, nightly curfews backed by local police and fines, even every-weekend 57 hour lockdowns through summer 2020. FEMA tents, hospital bed wards in school gyms, all of it. |
Probbily modifies millions of lives. Not an epidemiologist. I can’t begin to look at the data and say 600,000, 1 million, 5 million lives saved. I know it saved a lot of American lives. I know we have COVID in our house right now. I have the most recent booster had a moderate cold symptoms and took cold meds for 3 days— and worked through it (telework). My college kid came home when I was on day six. We wore masks indoors. He had not bothered to get the booster and is sick enough they started him on Pxlogid— despite his being only 20. My husband and daughter are booster and haven’t gotten sick. |
I would suspect the boosted teleworking mom with minimal symptoms initially is still at higher risk than the symptomatic college kid on paxlovid. Are you also taking paxlovid? Have any of you previously had Covid? I wish you all a quick and full recovery. |
