What do you want to see in S5 of The Handmaid’s Tale?

S5 is a snooze-fest.

Spoiler alert - this week’sEpisode

I hated how Janine was completely different when she woke up. She completely
Lost her persona of being naive and seeing everything through happy glasses. Then she went back with the other handmaid’s and the first thing she says when they surround her is, “I almost died!” In a childlike fashion…back to herself.

Do we know the woman Serena is now staying with?

+1

Serena would be an even more problematic Handmaid than June was. She knows too much dirt.

Yes, I can see her with those mouth stiches they showed us in Washington, DC

This would be a perfect series ender

I agree. That was very jarring. I was confused by the last scene back in Gilead. So is Serena now going to be a handmaid in that house??

No. She found her True Believer and followers.

Thats not Gilead. Isn’t she still in Canada? I think it was just a Gilead sympathizer.

This week’s episode was so dull. Enough of the build-up and politics. We need action. Go back to Gilead already! At least Luke is moving along. That man needs to DO something already.

Agreed. I ended up fast forwarding through substantial chunks of this ep, which I never do.

It's overdone and dragged out. We get it. Luke is the baffled long suffering DH, June is angry, June might get violent (again). But the real interesting thing here is Serena. Give us revenge!

I am starting to really like Luke. He was so hapless before. I want to see him kill Serena and rescue Hannah in a totally badass way.

Luke has martyr written all over him. If he gets to Hannah, it's a one-way trip. If he makes it that far.

Luke has good intentions but the women have the experience. How will he even blend in? He doesn't know the rules and has no defined place.

I hope his sacrifice has meaning.

Agree for the most part…you didn’t like the scene where Serena thought she’d be marrying the commander and was blindsided?

Angry June is the worst part of this season. Most interesting - Nick and new wife, Commander Lawrence and Lydia/Janine.

Agree. I don’t see him surviving.

Angry Crazy June doesn’t make sense.

She held it together in Gilead and now we are supposed to believe she’s gone bananas? Yet she can turn it on and off and be fine around her baby?

She can be angry, but she shouldn’t be nutso. She’s portraying her like she’s gone totally nuts, and it just doesn’t make sense. Plus, it’s not like you can be a shaky detached from reality crazy person and magically be fine around a baby—or magically have a redemption arc and come back to reality.

Poor Luke.

Although I hope June returns to some semblance of normal and reunites with Nick. Seems like Luke will be killed off.
