It's kind of protected by the 9th amendment: "The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people."

House Democrats are putting a bill protecting nationwide marriage equality on the floor and this is how Jim Jordan reacts. I know he doesn’t actually sponsor or pass any legislation but I would think that Congress passing laws is its job, not just a way of making the Supreme Court he likes mad.

The gun nuts, by not allowing sensible regulation of guns, are depriving many of us, to include elementary school kids, shoppers at malls, church and synagogue goers of our most fundamental personal right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness.
