I don't disagree with your statement, but from my child's experience at a t20 (who as on financial aid but neither low-income nor FG), nobody was doing the bolded. If anything, my kid reported that the disadvantaged kids they knew were afraid for anyone to know they were disadvantaged lest they be seen as ''unprepared,'' ''an affirmative action admit,'' ''unqualified,'' ''poor,'' ''depressing,'' and a whole slew of other names. |
