Re-read this thread, and all the other threads comparing both -- it's always NoVa vs MoCo. VA people never include HoCo in the discussion even though HoCo is about equidistant to DC as Loudon is, but they always include Loudon. Why is that? It's really bizarre. |
It's because Loudoun is a major employment center and Howard is not. |
If you are horrified by Yougkin, why don't you move to DC? In fact, why did you move to Virginia in the first place? |
Why don't you give your employees free birth control so that they will not need so many abortions? |
This is easy to answer: Much more space. Much better schools. Much less crime. Many more family amenities and family-oriented neighborhoods. And knowing that while Youngkin may be disliked by a large percentage of voters, Virginia remains a politically pragmatic place and in all likelihood will vote a Democrat back into office in 2025. |
+1 And also because Howard has one foot in greater Washington and one foot in greater Baltimore, whereas Loudoun is fully part of greater D.C. |
All women have the right to bodily autonomy and safe abortions. |
Also because MoCo is the closest comparison to several VA counties, including Arlington, Fairfax, and Loudoun. Do MD folks really want to drag in PG into the debate? The comparison gap will only widen. |
Okay, honey, but you keep telling yourself that MoCo is a little enclave in Maryland because the rest of the state is an economic and political mess. Baltimore has a high murder and crime rate, Hagerstown is full of loony Trump supporters, Western Maryland's economy is based on prisons and pot, the eastern shore has second rate beaches and agra business - that will go away as global warming continues. Yes -- compared to the rest of the state MoCo looks pretty darn good |
Well, you can't do service sector jobs from home -- Marylanders work in nursing homes, restaurants, day care centers, and other low skill low pay jobs. And the fact that they have to cross a bridge to make $15 an hour is sad |
And just bought a $60 million house in Alexandria. |
Hush my mouth, do you really think we want you here? |
It wasn't Robert E. Lee's house, it was his wife's house. It is now the ironically named, Arlington House, since Arlington is awash in liberals. |
So, a democratic controlled city has less space, worse schools, more crime, fewer amenities and family-oriented neighborhoods, but you want a Democrat to be elected governor of Virginia. T |
That's right but why do you hire such irresponsible that they do not exercise their right to bodily autonomy and become impregnated by randos? |
