I was going to say the same thing. This is what my diploma states. Their website describes the college's relationship with the university as a "partnership with a major research university" and that they are one of the university's four undergraduate colleges.
The top of their webpage actually states B arnard College Columbia University.

Columbia also lists Barnard as one of its schools

But it lists Barnard on its page titled "List of Schools."

Barnard people, stop embarrassing yourselves.

Harvard Extension people too.

It's a shame.

What's so shameful is Harvard people denigrating their own as if they belong to a different species than their cohorts at extension. Extension students attend Harvard just like Harvard students, taking the same courses taught by the same professors. They have the ID to prove this. And their diploma says, Harvard...

DS is at Columbia. My (non-sexist) two cents: Columbia guys usually don't mind, but Columbia girls are most often the ones mad about Barnard girls calling themselves Columbia students...

Barnard said Columbia has 4 undergraduate schools.

Ha ha! That is hilarious. Talk about being a step child

This makes sense. So pathetic to post Barnard@Columbia. She clearly used it as a backdoor

So you are confirming that Barnard is a back door into Columbia

Barnard didn't want to be a part of Columbia, that's why Columbia became co-ed in the 80's.

So Barnard changes their mind now.

No dog in this fight but the Barnard folks seem to have the facts on their side. The Columbia boosters just don't like it. I sure hope the Columbia people have some tie to Columbia. Otherwise, this may be the most pathetic thread ever.

Not quite. OP is miffed about one student, allegedly a friend of her kid who had the audacity to state Barnard-Columbia '26 in their Instagram bio. Imagine the horror🤦‍♀️
