Lily Collins is too thin in Emily in Paris

IMHO, this show is Darren Star's true successor to Sex and the City. The insanely self-absorbed skinny girl who is just totally oblivious. The ridiculous clothing that defies the logic of her salary or even the (lack of) closet space in her attic-level flat. The writing perspective of a gay male showrunner imagining what a straight woman's life would be like if she lived as an ex-pat in Paris.

The difference this time around is that EIP already feels outdated. I'm surprised that critics and social media have not been harsher on this show.

Amen. And when does she shop for this wardrobe? She would need to be shopping and curating her wardrobe almost constantly to keep up this style.

I don’t care about the clothing. All shows are like that.
The problem I have is that Emily is SO unlikeable. As bad as Carrie was.

She looks fine albeit on the thinner side. In the 1920's, 30's, 40's, 50's 60's and 70's her weight would be considered low side of normal.

We are used to seeing daily obesity in our society and obesity has been normalized.

So many actresses have extreme implants. If you look at films from the 30's, 40's, 50's etc a smaller bust was the norm.

Oh stop. No one on TV is obese. No one is comparing her to people hanging out at Walmart. She looks extremely thin compared to the rest of the cast.

Look at the actress who plays Camille. She has a toned, curvy body. But she's still thin!

And yet, next to LC she looks huge. It's sort of crazy. LC reminds me of a bobble-head dead. If the camera adds 15 pounds, it must be shocking in person.

She is a small person. She is literally going to play Polly Pocket. I don’t think she looks bad in Season 2, she is just tiny.

Who cares about any of this. Can we talk about Alfie? OMG.

He’s cute but do you think he’s cuter than the French chef

OMG yes.
I didn't even think Gabriel was the hottest guy on the show last season!

Gabriel is insanely hot. 10/10

He's cute. I always liked Antoine. But Alfie is spectacular.

Yesssss. And that accent to boot? Swoon. He’s way out of Emily’s league.

Alfie’s accent is so freaking hot. Gabriel is still the hottest though.
