I see. Why, then, aren't you making the same excuses for the Nazis? It's not like the Germans were given a choice to join the army. |
Waffen SS membership was voluntary. There was no impossible choice. |
No one made excuses. Apologies for you misreading what was written. |
Actually research into the 20th indicates a large number were conscripted. |
Of course you weren’t. |
It's not like you Russians cared. That's where you forced them to live so they wouldn't "polute" the motherland. |
And Russia has stupid leaders. Putin thinks the only way to make Russia better is by dragging everyone else down and making the world burn. |
PP here. I appreciate this thoughtful and I am sure correct analysis (I am being sincere). I still say bomb the $H!T out of the Russians on the border if they advance. I truly think it's the only thing Putin will really respond to. And blame the deaths of Russia's sons directly on Putin, publicly, and often. Does that ratchet up the old tensions? Yes. But the Russians have been operating largely unchecked in many ways for several years - poisoning enemies in the UK, assassinating enemies in Berlin, attacking a US diplomat/spy at the US Embassy, etc. and then you get to the invasion of Ukraine. Pushing back against Putin and his agenda also helps us domestically. |
Plus encouraging widespread cyber attacks and soccer hooliganism by the "private" sector |
Russian mercenaries have been in Eastern Ukraine for months
