You CANNOT choose race in the application form, that is pre-populated by FCPS, so these "whites that claim to be Hispanic" must have done it upon enrollment in FCPS. And if they were so forward-looking as to anticipate the change in admission procedures, and so Machiavellian as to lie about their race, then I think they deserve a spot!

What does how people responded to a random online poll about college applications have to do with TJ admissions? Do you understand that you don’t self select race in FCPS? You parents do that when you enter the system.

demographic 2024 2025 %change
asian 73% 54% -26%
white 18% 22% +26%
hispanic 3% 11% +242%
black 2% 7% +245%
other 4% 5% +26%

raw #s from 2024 to 2025:
46 more hispanic
29 more black
8 more other/mixed
(83 more hispanic/black/mixed)
37 more white
56 fewer asians

That's the whole story of TJ reform.

Ignoring that there are 83 more URMs…

I won’t be surprised if a lot of white students claimed they were Hispanics.

It’s a race-blind application, dumba$$.

No, it wasn't although FCPS claimed so.

Evidence? Oh right - you’re full of sh1t.

This has been debunked many times on DCUM. FCPS lied about it. Dont' trust one word from FCPS and Scott Brabrand.

You really believe if they knew students' names, they didn't know their race? Parents could also help change the race info in the system.

The poll showed that white people tend to lie when they believe they'll be better off.

Seems like the parents most likely to game the system aren’t the white parents…

Is this a confession?

You need better reading comprehension or a less evil mind. Over 1/3 white people lied in college application! What can we infer from this for TJ application?

Who are the fervent parents who would do anything to get their kids admitted? Not the white parents…
