Children “deserve” to be killed? How’s that? |
|
Someone nailed it pages ago when they said that the SC will not take up any of these appeals. That is what is now happening. |
Anyone? |

Sign that the SC will likely not rule on Roe. |

To the person asking the age for a person to get service at PP. It depends on the state a person lives in. Google is your friend. "Many methods of obtaining birth control requires a visit to a physician. Teens under the age of 18 may have to obtain parental permission or the physician may have the right to notify the parents. In many states, teens 16 years of age and older can go to the doctor without parental consent." |
How are those GOP forever wars going? Is there a “not women and children” setting on all those smart bombs? |
Let’s hope. Who would have thought W was actually saving us when he nominated Roberts? |
IMHO, George Bush has not been given due credit for many of his good decisions and appointments. |
Yep. |
|
I’ve said many times that Roberts wasn’t the radical right’s “boy”.
All these stupid bills get struck down and the majority of the country is awoken to the forced birth agenda. Thank crazy forces birthers! You finally got the majority of Americans to realize they want choice! |
of course they will. they're just waiting for one more catholic justice, and for the right case. currently state legislatures are too stupid to pass abortion bans that are not openly motivated by animus towards women. but you're crazy if you don't think anti-choicers aren't working very hard right now on model bills the supreme court will take. in fact, the lack of a rape/incest exception is actually a steps towards review, since the exception shows the state interest is policing women, not saving fetuses. as states pass other laws treating fetuses like humans (eg Indiana burial law) then they can argue with a straight face that they are motivated by fetus saving. finally, as states drive out abortion providers using regulatory harassment (missouri) then the state can argue there is no settled expectation of accessing abortion in that state, and therefore precedent can be overturned. |
Roberts is a good justice. I actually feel good with him at the head. |
I will generally agree, but off topic, will await his decision on documents subpoeaned by the Congress vis a vis Trump. |
| I don’t argue with a prolife crowd anymore. I just smile and tell them , darling , we will always be able to afford a weekend trip to wherever it is legal, so please know whatever silly rules you’ll pass will only apply to the poor anyway. Carry right on, won’t affect my daughter one bit. |
I wouldn't be so sanguine. With a fetal personhood law, the father could file for an injunction forbidding you from leaving the state. |
