2026 acceptances

And the one that was the most work (Jacobs at IU) he was rejected but that’s how it goes. My older kid applied for engineering and it was so much easier, I was not prepared for this!

Got into UConn and U Denver for Music as well (and a couple of safeties). Still waiting for Ithaca College and Berklee decisions.

Thanks for the kind words, I have a newfound respect for these music and other performing arts applicants.

Drexel was acceptance after a deferral and the university acceptances to Belmont and U Cincinnati came months ago, but just received acceptance to the music programs, which are more selective.

Congrats! I know those music, supplementals, portfolios, and auditions are a lot of extra work.

I have no personal experience with this, but thank you for highlighting all of these efforts -- it's a privilege to learn about these students' efforts and to celebrate their accomplishments. Genuinely.

Theater Design parent here - it’s SO much work and I too appreciate the acknowledgement of how much work these students end up doing for admissions. Double the work for each app between portfolio building and then adjustments for each school, interviews and interview prep, the extra (up to four extra) essays on top of common app & general school essay questions etc.

I didn’t really understand it until I saw DCs process.

Congratulations! My oldest went to Fordham LC and loved it.

Thank you! Great to hear they loved it - as of now that’s the top of my DCs list. They’re going to decide after admitted student day visits over spring break. Very excited no matter where they choose.

Nice! Is that the school of choice?

It would probably be high on the list but the merit aid came back lower than Kenyon, F&M, and Union. I think Denison is seeing high demand and entering the Macalester/Richmond level. It wasn’t a top choice in any case but I like the rising profile.

My kid just got a likely letter from Columbia! He’s surprised- and happy! He isn’t counting it as an acceptance yet, but I am!
