What is going on with young people ? The same pattern is showing in Wisconsin too. We need some Taylor swift action in those states

That makes no sense. UMich Voter on Twitter showed a landslide for Biden on campus. I think it was high 70%, if not more, but I don't want to misstate facts. It's 50% in state and 50% OOS, so it showed that young Michiganders were in sync with OOS youth, which I think the majority are from the East Coast.

I find it very hard to believe that that many kids would go GOP. Not vote, sure. Turn to the devil, nah.

It’s bizarre but the same data trends came up in the 18-29 age group in a recent NY Times poll for Wisconsin. I thought the Wisconsin poll was maybe flawed in some way but now the same thing in Michigan

Harris holds a 66-electoral-vote lead over Trump, calculates prominent data scientist

Data scientist Thomas Miller has crafted a model for forecasting the 2024 presidential election that, he says, is far more reliable than the polling that's constantly cited in the media as the best guide to the outcome on Nov. 5. Instead, the Northwestern University professor deploys a framework based on the betting odds set by folks wagering their dollars not on the candidate they intend to vote for, but the one they expect to win. This writer began following Miller's predictions during the 2020 White House contest, and the two Georgia Senate races that followed in early January of 2021. Miller called the former within 12 electoral votes, and correctly posited that the Democrats would sweep both Senate seats when the polls showed the Republicans significantly ahead. His calls for the margins of victory proved right on the mark.

the UM campus precincts were over 94% for Biden in 202 and the UW campus precincts were over 92% for Biden.

The "arab" vote will impact things a little on the UM campus, but most of the students will still relunctantly vote for the dems because they know how bad the GOP is for muslims.

Trump is already silencing free speech. If Trump wins, I hope this union will feel good about the choice it made. Hardly “brave.”

Now Democrats are the party of in-person voting?

Harris only needs MI, WI and PA.

She's losing Michigan. So she needs to get WI, PA and NC.

Those are the educated youth. There are far more uneducated than educated, and Trump appeals to the uneducated.

I don't believe she's going to get NC, FL or GA.

I believe it. The 18-22 demographic is trending way more conservative than prior generations, particularly young men. Democrats have lost them. Then add the young TikTok progressives who have become single issue Gaza voters and who are all about nihilism now - they will vote for Trump because they want to burn it all down. And it's pretty easy to see how Harris isn't polling above 50 percent with the youngest voters.
