Think he has to serve 85% before he can get parole, but not certain.

I agree that four is not enough but since he appears to have led a spoiled, indulgent life, those four years will be pure hell for him.

I would like to know too

Very surprised. I thought at least 8. Judge must not have kids.

You mean the jury, not judge

No parole in VA! He gets 2 days credit for every 1 night spent while in county jail... DOC has a backlog. He'll likely be out in 2 years

The judge hasn’t sentenced him yet. Four years was the jury’s recommendation but the judge can’t give him much the time than the jury recommended.

No. Judge can sentence to less time but he can't give more than the jury recommendation

I would like to know if the surviving victim and the parents satisfied or insulted

Way too low. What about a fine?

I'm hoping Usman and family have to walk around wearing barrels after the upcoming civil suits.

This is a typical NOVA misogyny - they are sending a message that a girl's life is not important.
I am wondering if it was the opposite: if an 18-year-old girl was in the car and teenage boys were killed, what would the sentence be?

Or if the girls were white.

It's not misogyny or racism. I think it would be the same if he had killed white boys. It's the overall "soft on crime" attitude/practices we have now.
