| How do you respond to religious folks who feel that they have to condemn gay relationships because the Bible says so? |
|
This was just beaten to death (see what I did there?).
Search homophobia. |
| "Well, I guess you can find just about anything you want in the bible. For me, Christianity is based on respect and kindness, which means accepting people as they are." |
+100. Trolls be desperate. |
I’m not a troll. Not in the slightest. I’m not looking for a treatise or to start some grand debate. I just would like a two or three sentence response. |

Here you go, OP:

| Ok, thanks. Now I see the thread. |
|
I just say it’s silly you condemn gay people but not shrimp and tax collectors.
|
Shrimp are the true enemy here. |
Usually I respond with other things in the Bible like Lot's daughters sleeping with him and getting pregnant, and Lot offering his daughters to the mob. |
| If you have read the New Testament you aren't running around condemning anything, let alone loving relationships. That part of the Bible, which is what I care about as a Christian, does not support any condemnation of gay relationships. The people who think it does need to read it again. |
Who is doing this, what is your relationship with them? Are you a Christian and do you have a background in biblical studies? |
No, people like you are. |
