It was only a matter of time. PLEASE keep doors locked at all times. Hope the baby will be found soon and is safe.

Car is a white Cherokee.

That's terrifying. Saying a prayer for them.

Oh no! That's terrifying. I hope the baby is found tonight.

Very young baby. At least she is dressed warmly, it's really cold outside.

Sounds like the car was stolen while a parent was pumping gas, if the gas door is broken off?

Georgetown at rush hour would have seemed safe enough to get gas, to me, too.

Praying the baby will be found safe.

Everyone please keep your doors locked at all times.

Wouldn't this be an Amber Alert?

DC MPD says call 911 if see vehicle but would be helpful if plate and jurisdiction went out as an alert.

Good Lord. They need to call in the National Guard.

Jesus Christ what the hell!!

Right, why isn't the license number released?

Appearances sure are deceiving, looks so pretty and safe. Where you might shop, go out for dinner, stop for gas during RUSH HOUR. This is terrifying.

There's not a gas station in that block is there?

Alan Henney had a partial plate: (partial tag of MHY)

It has been over an hour. In other cases when they discovered baby/child they usually ditch the car very quickly.

Thought exercise: if you had just stolen a vehicle, and wanted to leave a baby safely somewhere without getting caught, what would you do? Where?

There is not a gas station at 30th and M NW. The car could just have a broken off gas cap door. That block is all commercial, with some residential above the businesses.
