"“Our shared goal is to keep kids safe and keep them in school where they learn best.” said Dr. Stoddard."

Good.

No one knows. They won't say.

Pretty typical MCPS. This is why they pay consultants $1000 per day for PR services. The easier solution would just be transparency but they seem incapable of starting from a posture of honesty. And thus trust is eroded.

The COVID reporting is a state problem due to a cyberattack.

They can do a press release or put it on the regular website or another website. Or, just create a new page. Lots of options.

If parents want schools to go virtual or have plans for outbreaks, they need to start signing up for public comments because right now the only voices are the ones screaming about 1/2 days, the abuse of mask wearing and who think COVID is no longer a problem.

Maybe you're talking about a different MCPS? The MCPS for this forum is the Montgomery County, Maryland, Public Schools.

Yes, the same one I am talking about. The "reopeners" who brainwashed their kids to protest with signs on Rockville Pike, the same ones who constantly tweet, email, give public comments to the BOE about all the learning their kids will lose on a 1/2 day. Those are the ones.

These are the same families bring covid into the schools. Is this a surprise?

And you know this how, exactly?

What is their plan to keep students and staff "safe"?

Where do you think covid comes from? Either one or more people bring it into the school or you catch it at school. Simple. Look at how many families here post they have no issue sending their sick kids to school. Hold on, it will be a bumpy ride.

If you're concerned, keep your kids home next week.

They just quarantined a whole class of K kids at our school because the teacher is sick with COVID, so yes, this is what we're doing.

Teachers are behaving just as irresponsibly as parents, unfortunately. Expect a lot of whole class shutdowns after the new year.

Sadly, I think you're right. They don't seem to grasp how their actions affect others.

To keep them in a school-- a more controlled environment than where many of them would otherwise be.

How many? And how do you know how many actual people in MCPS they represent, considering that it's all anonymous posts on an internet message board?

Do you think people are making up the covid positive letters?

If you look at the dashboard and what is going on locally, lots of large numbers of covid in the schools. Several privates went virtual.
