In June 2016, Fusion GPS hired Christopher Steele, a former MI6 agent, to obtain information on Trump. Steele used his "old contacts and farmed out other research to native Russian speakers who made phone calls on his behalf".[11] After November 2016, funding from the Democratic Party ceased, and Simpson reportedly spent his own money to fund further work on the dossier.[12]

Hmm, sounds like he’s putting out salacious speculation to try to sell books. It’s still a stupid theory because it wouldn’t have made Clinton president so there’s little motivation there.

Trial starts Monday followed by a quick acquittal unless Durham can pull a rabbit out of his hat and delay. I bet he really wants to appeal some of the adverse pre-trial rulings so he can delay, but he has to get DOJ permission to do that.
