What are not very expensive neighborhoods zoned for Langley - Herndon? Reston?

Small house or townhouse okay

Houses zoned for Forestville, but you're basically in Loudon County at that point, and you're still looking at a $1.5mil budget.

Kings Manor McLean. But they are still townhouses for 900k+.

There are also some townhouses off Balls Hill Road in McLean called Evans Mill that are comparatively affordable (they are distinct from the more expensive Evans Farm townhouses and single-family houses on the other side of 123).

Every now and then an older house in McLean zoned for Langley comes on the market for under a million. Most are livable but you’re competing with builders who’ll tear down the older house.

And a lot of the McLean Hamlet houses are backed up right against the Beltway and the Toll Road.

Even the McLean Hamlet houses near the Toll Road are fairly expensive.

Occasionally you'll see one crop up out on the Forestville ES area under $1 mil but they are rare.

For townhomes under $1 mil, the area around Kings Manor Park goes in that range but none currently on the market.

Except for those cases, you'll find that the low-end SFHs zoned for Langley start around $1.2 mil, such as this one on market:

There is no such thing. Maybe rent a basement apartment in one of the mansions.

I’d look at something zoned for McLean or Marshall. You can get something more affordable in those districts. Also, what’s your commute?

This is stupid. You need a budget and you need to tell us what you are looking for.

Otherwise I call troll.
