This isn't a south Arlington school. We don't talk about bad behavior of north Arlington students here.

Terrible.

Weird that he's raising prices but not banning unchaperoned children. Seems like that punishes well-behaved students, but won't discourage the theft and vandalism.

The students are banned unless they have an adult with them, as of last week.

Meanwhile most 8th graders know exactly who did this and it would take about 30 seconds for the counselors at the school to figure it out. They can probably guess who did it.

I'd also be shocked if Italian Store didn't have cameras. If they don't, they should. Show the video to the school administrators.

It's a handful of obnoxious kids who should be dealt with severely.

Not true. Read the article.

Swanson parent here-This class has been notoriously misbehaved. In 7th grade they caused havoc. Seems like now in 8th grade, the same group is continuing their antics.

I'm also a Swanson parent of a kid in this grade. I had always heard it was the year ahead of them that was problematic. FWIW.

Also, it's the age. A small number of boys behave like animals. My child's take...they won't care if they get in trouble because their parents don't care and don't do anything about it when they get in trouble anyway.

Kind of sums it up.

Swanson parent here and +1 to the bold. Parents who don't care, and parents who will cover for them and lawyer up to get them out of trouble.

That's why I chose private for mine. They were all a$$holes in 5th too. Parents, not much better.

You know all the a-holes from multiple elementary schools who were doing virtual school in 5th grade? That is impressive.

DP. I could absolutely tell you who the aholes were in my kids' class from virtual learning. It was easier to tell because you could see them. Not that this was a surprise. They were known to be aholes before that.

I believe the point is it’s a class of 300 kids and no one knows or knew all the 5th graders (now 8th graders).

But also why were you doing virtual school with a 5th grader and seeing the kids in the class. Creepy.

Yeah that seems pretty clear. Good job on your reading comprehension.

and certain parents made themselves and their shall we say poor manners quite known during virtual instruction. No surprise their children learned from them.
