Baltimore man wanted for murdering a tech CEO

The suspect was sentenced to 30 years in prison in 2011 but was paroled less than a year ago

This is tragic, horrific. What a senseless loss. I am so sorry for her family.

I'm no progressive liberal, but unfortunately, this kind of thing happens all too often, in both red and blue counties.

This is a more current photo of the suspect, heads up to those in the Baltimore area. Not sure why the press conference used such an old photo. Hope he is arrested very soon.

I believe Tier 3 is the highest level sex offender under MD law, correct me if that is mistaken. He is on the sex offender registry for life. This is just NOT someone who should have been released after serving less than 1/2 his sentence. He is also a suspect in another investigation in the Baltimore area.

That’s so insane. I heard about the murder this morning (I live in Baltimore city) and assumed- as is so often the case with a young woman killed in her apartment alone- that it was a boyfriend or ex boyfriend. The fact that it was seemingly a stranger who broke in is insane.
Terrifying for her no matter who it was, obviously. But for the community at large, since he hasn’t been arrested yet, this is horrifying

Curious why so they think it was him? Video footage and facial recognition ?

USA is unsafe for women.

Yikes, the mayor misspoke, he was actually DENIED parole (they must have sense!) but was released on "good time credits." The system is beyond broken if this dangerous man denied parole was released anyway.

Clearly they had evidence to tie him to the apartment very quickly. I'm sure it will come out once he is in custody.

I'd expect dna evidence since the press releases all mention rape

Why was he released? Is it a space issue at prisons?

If that's the case, can we just implement more death penalty? I will not be sorry to see this man go.

He is a suspect in a rape at knifepoint of a woman a week earlier in which a 5 year old child was in the house. He then set the house on fire. Sure hope he is caught soon.

Once he is arrested, more details will come out.

I don't think they could have gotten DNA back so quickly so maybe cameras.

Since he is a suspect in another sexual assault last week, and arson, he was on their radar already.

Wonder how it all ended up on the roof, such a strange detail.

Building security is only as good as every resident, every visitor, every food delivery person all maintaining door control. This guy is enormous, 6' 4" and over 300 pounds, someone may have felt intimidated to challenge him? To say the building was "secure" just means that doors had locks, etc. None of these buildings is that secure.

It's a beautiful building, think JHU may have used it as housing at one point?

This is all terrifying, how many people with these kinds of histories are just walking the streets?
