Honest question, I feel like with the expansion of the DC area, the Metro going to Ashburn and the MARC having service out to Martinsburg a case could be made its apart of the area.

Officially one WV county is - Jefferson.

Martinsburg is in the next county over.

I'm originally from the West Coast, and the perception out west, at least, is that WVA is not considered "DC area".
