Who are Tess and Randall going to see?

It looks like future Toby falls into a deep depression again (like the one his parents mentioned him having after his first marriage ended).

I think Tess and Randall are talking about needing to see Deja. I’m scared she did something awful bc Tess said I’m not ready and Randall said neither am I.

Just finished watching... holy.

+1 major depression

I think maybe Deja ends up causing harm to the youngest daughter Annie. Possibly unintentionally.

This shit is getting really dark!!!!!!!

Remember when Toby admitted to Kate that he tried to commit suicide before. I think they’ll explore that angle and its impact on Kate’s weight.

When Randall asked if Tess was ready, the show panned right to Beth. I could be wrong but for some reason I thought I remember something about mental illness and Beth’s mom. IDK... did I invent that? I think they’re going to get rid of Deja.

I noticed this too and immediately thought something happened to Beth, but I also can't imagine anything happening to her to the point where Randall and Tess wouldn't be "ready" to see her. I really can't imagine a situation where they wouldn't be right by her side no matter what...hmm... I definitely thought it was an interesting season finale.

If I were playing Worst Case Scenario, that would have been the first thing I said!

It was interesting when Beth and Randall were playing it they didn't mention Annie, just about Deja and Tess and ending up on the pole.

I thought it was going to be whether Tess was ready to go see Deja, who had somehow ended up in prison?
Anonymous
I thought that, too but the show likes to keep us guessing and that's seems like a logical plot line.

I thought perhaps they are showing Rebecca dying and Randall and Tess are going to say goodbye? Maybe they have been by her side but know it's the end.

With Kevin and Zoe getting together, does this mean the end for Alexandra Breckenridge? I know she's a series regular but without Kevin available, how will she fit in? Unless she pops up with his baby?

NP. I noticed this, too! Something happening with Deja is the obvious answer, and this show likes to throw us for a loop, so I'm going with Beth. Maybe she is in the hospital and they have to brace themselves to go see her because it's bad.

I am a little puzzled as to why only Kevin seems to have a happy future.

I took the pan to Beth to indicate that Deja somehow hurts BETH, not Annie. Maybe even accidentally kills her?

But Tess is grown up and Randall is oldish, so whatever they were intimating by the pan to Beth is ten years in the future.

I think Toby is manic depressive. He's always so hyper and animated. A year later, he's in a depression, probably with no real situation to bring it on. Maybe he kept it from Kate.

+1 for the Toby theory

Didn’t Randall say to Tess that she would live with him until she was 25 and then they’d have dinner every week? So my guess: Tess is 25 (I know she looks older, but the way that set is lit ... although she could be older, too), Deja inadvertently killed Beth in an accident or in a rage, Deja is in prison serving a long sentence, and Randall is determined to go see her. With Tess.

Possible she killed Annie too. But my guess is Beth.
