It it fine. You should move from Wheaton if you don't like it. I think Wheaton can take in more kids. I have 2 there now |
There are no imaginary seats. Get over it |
Nobody can explain how they added 500 seats. Edison is a part time program so even if a whole 500 students from Wheaton are attending Edison, they are also attending Wheaton. |
+1. The new CIP was just released and it has Wheaton's capacity at 2220, and is overenrolled by 467 students. |
I will pick option A. |
+1 I like Option A as well. |
A is second best. B still best |
| Folks need to say *why* they are supporting the options they're supporting/why they think it's best, otherwise it's totally unhelpful to people. |
People should stop quoting/bumping the post with the inaccurate/misleading summary on utilization. This is the correct summary for folks who care about over-crowding/underutilization. |
+1 Three out of four options have Wheaton 27% over capacity. Wtaf MCPS |
| The Wheaton numbers are wrong unless there is an explanation regarding the Edison overlap. |
And why would the CIP mention nothing about this apparent Edison space? The numbers from Flo Analytics are not valid. |
Idk maybe the studies have different goals. Maybe the space is shared and doesn’t require building parameters, which is the focus of the CIP but not the utilization. |
+1 why is it during the first round of options they were telling folks there is a "shell space" at Edison that can be built out, to explain why they left Wheaton overcrowded. But the CIP makes no mention of this. And in the second round they just added 500 seats to Wheaton and pretend Wheaton and Edison are the same school? So shady. |
Aren’t your kids at Wheaton? Does Wheaton share space with Edison? |
