I don’t Prep is that good this year.

Gonzaga needed that. Still think Prep gets them Thursday night, but think it is going to be way closer than people think. Gonzaga at home under lights=always tough.

GP and the new Hilgy regime are vastly overrated.

He had the Millon boys for the past 7 years at McDonogh. I think any coach would have loved to have those two on their roster and would find some success.

GP is 4-1 with the (current) highest rating in the IAC. They get a rival game on the road followed by 2 tough out of state contests. They have a ton of offensive talent, a fogo and a good returning goalie. There's no reason this team shouldn't win games.

But they’re MIAA and therefore ranked with the Baltimore teams.

GZ under the lights with war drums going is a unique experience.

It's a 1-6 experience.

Thanks, Prep Dad! They looked lifeless against EA and beating Richmond, "power" St Christopher's is something to pound your chest about.

IL has a weird take on the mid atlantic teams this year it seems. PVI and Bullis are lower than I would have expected.

Bullis and PVI are the two best teams in the are based on results and consistent play.

After this top tier, I’d bunch Landon, GP and SJC together.

I’d then lump Gonzaga and Good Counsel together in the next tier down.

And I’m calling it now, Gonzaga beats Prep on Thursday night down on Eye Street.

How bad has it got that the reigning WCAC champs don't even get a mention and no one is shocked by a 15-4 Bullis win?! (And that was a game that the coach was not suspended for.) I think after PVI, Bullis, and Landon, it is anyone's guess. GP, GC, GZ and SJC are all "meh" contenders. They could win, but only if the top three collapse. No one else even merits discussion.

I imagine whoever voted that coach “Coach of the Year” is feeling stupid right about now. Horrific coaching.

DeMatha is horrible. The last great recruiting class was the 25 class. That was former coach Scott Morrison's last recruiting class. As anyone can see, they have nothing and are a joke. They will be horrible for the next several years, shit the decade is more likely. As for the head coach, he was never good. He just rode the 25 class to the championship. His offense and defense coaches from last year left. It is funny how he was suspended for player tampering and he still can't get good players to go there.
